We bought our ZOE XL2 Best v2 double stroller in March 2019, when our twin boys were just over a year old. We were looking for something lightweight, compact, and realistic for everyday life — not a monster double stroller that requires upper-body strength and a parking permit.
Five years later — after Disney trips, multiple flights, five weddings (including three out of state), and steady daily use — I can confidently say this stroller ended up being one of our smartest parenting purchases.
This is a true long-term product review, not a weekend test drive.
Disneyland: Where Strollers Prove Themselves
Disney is the land where flimsy strollers go to die. The walking, the crowds, the weather swings — it’s the perfect durability test.
We brought our ZOE to Disneyland when the boys were around four, and again the next year, and both times it made the trip better. The boys were comfortable, the canopies actually helped, and navigating crowds wasn’t a wrestling match.

ZOE XL2 Best v2 at Disneyland — maneuverable, compact, and easy to steer one-handed.
The biggest surprise was how light it felt. Even in the tightest areas, I could guide it with one hand while juggling snacks or backpacks in the other.

Compact footprint that never felt bulky in crowded parks.
One of the things that most sticks out in my mind is that we went to Disney World in November of 2022. The boys were no longer toddlers and we thought we did not need the stroller and did not bring it. Biggest mistake we made. The boys were miserable walking in 90 degree heat and one even said he hated Disney.
We happened to go about a year later. This time, we went with the stroller and it was fantastic even though they were close to 3rd grade by that time. They enjoyed being pushed around. They kept covering themselves when it was sunny or rainy. It was cute.
It did its job quietly and consistently — which is exactly what you want from a stroller.
A Great Travel Companion
We’ve flown with this stroller many times, including wedding trips that involved schlepping across terminals, elevators, moving walkways, and narrow jet bridges.
Our routine became so smooth it felt like muscle memory:
- Push the stroller all the way down the jet bridge
- Fold it right at the plane door and pack it in the stroller bag
- Leave it there for gate check
- Pick it back up at the jet bridge on arrival
We never had to hand it off prematurely or trust someone else to carry it down stairs. Leaving it directly at the jet bridge minimized risk and saved time.
On almost every other flight, at least one parent would comment on how quickly I folded it — sometimes with one hand, holding one of the boys in the other. It was that intuitive.
I think the wifey got jealous when some other moms were like, “Wow. Your man is so strong!” Okay, maybe that last part did not happen. Still, numerous parents were amazed how quickly and simply it folded.
The ZOE survived every gate check. It never came back bent, jammed, or damaged. That alone puts it above most double strollers.
Ten Weddings – Zero Problems
This stroller attended five weddings out of state weddings with us and at least that many in state. It became the kids’ mobile home base on long days filled with photos, ceremonies, receptions, and outfit changes.

Even years later — sturdy, comfortable, and reliable for long event days.
The real value showed up on those marathon weekends: it carried snacks, jackets, emergency toys, and exhausted toddlers to young boys with no complaints.
Five Years of Durability
The ZOE handled:
- rain
- spills
- daily neighborhood walks
- rough park paths
- airport handling
- repeated folding
- kids eventually exceeding weight recommendations
Most double strollers develop wobble or fold issues within a couple of years. Ours kept going without drama.
By the time we passed it on, everything still worked. Plus, that middle-cup-snackholder-thingy had seen more types of cereal than you can imaging – Apple Jacks, Fruit Loops, Cocoa Puffs, Honey Nut Cheerios, regular Cheerios, and a variety of “healthy” organic cereals.
What We Appreciated Most
Maneuverability. Easy for either parent to push.
Lightweight feel. Never felt like a tank.
Legitimate canopies. Great for weather.
Quick fold. Clutch for airports and trams.
Comfortable seats. The boys never complained.
Excellent value. Performs like a premium stroller at a mid-range price.
Why We Finally Let It Go
Once the boys fully aged out of stroller life, we didn’t need it anymore. But we didn’t want it disappearing forever. So when we donated it, we made the family promise to give it back if we ever had another baby — unlikely at our age, but possible enough that we didn’t rule it out.
The fact that we even considered reclaiming it later tells you how well it held up.
Final Takeaway
If you need a double stroller that:
- is lightweight
- folds quickly
- survives theme parks
- handles airports effortlessly
- lasts years longer than expected
- keeps kids comfortable
…the ZOE XL2 Best v2 is absolutely worth it.
For our family, it became one of the baby gear purchases that earned its keep year after year.
